Aerospace parts company Pilot John International is expanding sales of aircraft WIFI equipment with help from CCX Technologies. The strengthened partnership will enable the brand to offer more products in avionics and aircraft WIFI installation equipment for equipping aircraft with connectivity technology.
“We have long offered CCX Technologies’ T-RX Avionics Radio & Pulse Tester,” said Triston Kight, director of avionics for the company. “But now we want to expand our lineup by offering three additional products, strengthen our partnership, and offer even more value to our customers.”
PJi will now offer three breakthrough CCX products designed to enhance connectivity and communications within aircraft cabins. The first new product is CCX Technologies’ IK-200 three-element dual-band WIFI antenna, a device for installation inside aircraft cabins. It features a D-Sub based multi-coax connector, two radiating elements, and a matching network that supports 50 ohm cabling. Other features include support for various WIFI bands, suitability for military and government aircraft, and a compact form factor.
The second product is the IK-201 multiband LTE antenna. The wideband (700-5200 MHz) small form factor 2×2 LTE and GNSS antenna device is also suitable for aircraft cabins and comes with two radiating elements and matching network 50 ohm cable support.
The final product is the AP-561 Micro-WAP (Wireless Access Point). This kit allows passengers and aircraft onboard equipment to communicate wirelessly thanks to an 802.11ac WiFi radio with a Gigabit Ethernet interface and an integrated antenna. The system can transmit data using different protocols, giving aircraft operators more flexibility.
These innovative products represent a breakthrough in in-flight connectivity, providing passengers and crew with reliable communication and entertainment options throughout their journey.
