
Gone are the days of verbally telling your family and visitors your Wi-Fi password. Users on Android can easily share access via QR code or Nearby Share with just a few taps. Here’s how:
Starting with Android 10, Wi-Fi settings have been significantly revamped to include options for users who want to share their passwords to access them. This version of his Android had the very useful Easy Connect feature. This resulted in a custom QR code containing Wi-Fi credentials that can be accessed with a single scan.
Later, Android 12 added a Nearby Share button to that feature. Obviously, this variation of Easy Connect allows you to turn on Nearby Share and push your credentials to other his Android users.
With the recent update to Android 14, Google released new features in this feature set. You should now see a Share Wi-Fi button within the Internet Quick Settings tile. This addition eliminates the extra step required to share internet credentials within settings, which was already an easy process.

How to share Wi-Fi passwords on Android
To share your Wi-Fi password with other devices, you first need access. A share button will be available for saved networks and currently connected networks. For this example, we used a Pixel with stock Android.
