Rasmussen Reports’ latest national telephone and online survey found that 79% of American adults believe young people spend too much time looking at social media and other internet sites. Only 9% disagree and 11% are unsure. (Click here to see the survey question wording.)

The survey was conducted by Rasmussen Reports between February 26 and 28, 2024 among 1,134 American adults. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points at a 95% confidence level. Fieldwork for all Rasmussen Reports research is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
