The event, which will run until March 18, invites Portugal-based Web3 builders to Lisbon to “share their talent and prowess with fellow builders, industry-leading founders, and major VC investors.” We will show off.
Organized by ICP Hub Portugal, the Build on ICP Hackathon is the first ICP event in the region and aims to unite and develop talent around IC protocols. This hackathon provides a platform for innovators looking to launch their next breakthrough startup, demonstrate their skills, and make a lasting and valuable contribution to the ecosystem.
Independent builders and teams come to Lisbon to showcase what they have already built or are in the process of building. Build on ICP is an open hackathon, so there are no specific tasks, tracks, or themes typical of similar events. Presented projects will be introduced to influential actors within the ecosystem and others building tools and applications on the Internet of Computers (ICP). Some of the judges and mentors are from Lightshift Capital, 3Commas Capital, DFINITY Foundation, and more.
It is a unique idea and as long as there is no external funding or grants, the development of various native internet computers can begin, as the hacking phase is currently underway. All Build on ICP participants are first-time builders of the protocol, but part of the participation requirements is to complete an ICP certification course and create smart contracts on the blockchain. Ta. The talent showcased at Build on ICP is localized and participants must be residents of Portugal or Spain and over the age of 18.
Building at ICP begins with online programs, virtual workshops, and team support from February 26th to 29th. This will lead to a long weekend of “IRL hacking” being held at the ICP office in Lisbon from Friday 1st March to Sunday 3rd March. Participants will use this final day to refine and perfect their products as well as practice pitching their products. The final showcase and winners will be announced on Monday, March 4th.
The main prizes of the Build on ICP Hackathon are €2,500 in USDC, a go-to-market strategy worth €10,000, and the possibility of a grant from DFINITY. The second place project will receive a PR campaign worth 5,000 euros and he will receive 1,500 euros of stablecoins, while the third place project will receive 1,000 euros of stablecoins. Internet Computer (ICP) designed these prizes to facilitate appropriate post-hackathon support, helping builders bring their projects to market, subsidize development, and provide appropriate support for continued success.
