For the first time in recent memory, a top cable TV company lost an internet customer in 2023. According to a report by Leichtman Research Group, top cable TV companies such as Comcast lost 65,000 customers in 2023. This is down from the addition of 530,000 subscribers. In 2023.
According to the report, Atlice lost the most Internet subscribers with 114,100 subscribers, followed by Comcast with 66,000 subscribers. The only cable TV company to add subscribers in the report was Spectrum, which added 155,000 subscribers. However, Spectrum recently lost subscribers in the fourth quarter of 2023, and the number of internet subscribers is also declining.
Major phone companies like AT&T also lost more than 80,000 internet subscribers in 2023. Most of that loss was due to AT&T losing his 98,000 subscribers and Lumen losing his 279,000 subscribers. These losses are offset by other companies adding subscribers.
