Internet discovers new way to open wine bottles without a corkscrew

For us amateurs, opening a bottle of wine can be difficult, but if you don’t have a corkscrew nearby, it’s almost impossible.

This may not be true for everyone, but I would venture to say that every wine drinker has at least experienced the excitement of opening a new bottle of wine, only to find out you can’t find the corkscrew. You may be disappointed.

According to social media, there’s a new way to open a bottle of your favorite wine, and you don’t need a corkscrew.

In the viral video, a young woman heats up a curling iron and places it over a wine bottle with a cork inserted. The heat from the curling iron heats up the bottle, increasing the pressure inside the bottle.

As the pressure builds up inside the bottle, the cork is slowly pushed out of the wine bottle and pouring begins.

Disclaimer, I’m not sure if this always works. You should always use caution when heating anything. However, this is an alternative way to open a bottle of wine if you don’t have the necessary tools.
