Lava, India’s homegrown smartphone brand, has expanded its 5G smartphone lineup in India with the launch of Lava Blaze Curve 5G. After first use, the device looks promising due to its well-balanced mix of hardware and software features. These include a curved 120Hz AMOLED display, a clean Android experience, and Widevine L1 support.
The Lava Blaze Curve is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 7050 chipset, comes with a responsive in-display fingerprint scanner, and has solid internal features for the price. Read below for more information.
Lava Blaze Curve 5G: Specifications and Features
The highlight of this device is its 6.67-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED panel that supports 120Hz refresh rate and has a peak brightness of 800 nits. It also supports HDR, HDR 10+, HDR 10, and is Widevine L1 certified to meet users’ media consumption needs.
In my limited usage, the display looks sharp and vibrant. However, it’s not as bright outside in the sun, but it gets the job done. When it comes to performance, as mentioned earlier, the Blaze Curve is powered by his 6nm-based Mediatek Dimensity 7050 chipset, which is also featured in his Lava Agni 2. The SoC features 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage.
As for the optics, it has a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a third 2MP macro shooter. For selfies and video calls, it has a 32MP front camera. Based on initial testing, the camera seems decent considering the price, but it does tend to blow out highlights. It is possible to record videos at a maximum resolution of 4K and 30fps.
To power everything, you’ll need a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. A compatible charger is also included. In terms of connectivity, it also supports 5G in the n1/n3/n5/n8/n28/n41/n77/n78 bands.
Lava Blaze Curve 5G price in India
The Lava Blaze 5G price starts at Rs 17,999 for the 8GB+128GB version and goes up to Rs 18,999 for the 8GB+256GB version in India. The device will be available on Amazon, Lava E-store, and Lava Offline Retail Network.

After almost a week of testing, the device had almost no defects. The software experience is fresh for the price, with no ads or bloatware. The distinguishing feature is the software, which sets it apart from its competitors. Lava is still running on Android 13, but promises his two OS upgrades to Android 14 and Android 15, as well as three years of security updates.
The hardware is also good, with fast performance, a full day of battery life, and a particularly nice design for the price. When I handed over her mobile phone to her mother, she estimated its price to be around Rs 35,000. This highlights the attractiveness of this phone’s design. The curved front and back panels, while inconvenient for some people and me, contribute to its aesthetics, and the weight distribution is well executed as well. We have some concerns about the camera system, but a detailed review will be published soon.
