If you thought Samsung’s secrets about unreleased products were limited to its high-end Galaxy S and Z series, you might want to think again. That’s because the upcoming mid-end Galaxy A55 and A35 5G devices will essentially look like this: The past few months have been as clear as glass.

Are there any surprises on that list? Not at all. Are there any noticeable differences compared to last year’s Galaxy A34 5G? Absolutely, but probably less than you expected.
First, this year’s 5G-enabled Galaxy A35 will replace its predecessor’s MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC with a homegrown Exynos 1380, which should significantly improve raw power levels. Meanwhile, the 6.6-inch screen looks completely unchanged, but this time there’s no outdated notch at the top, as Samsung moves one step closer to full hole-punch adoption.
There’s also no 4GB RAM version, but the first of the three rear cameras is expected to jump from 48-megapixel to 50-megapixel, which should improve actual photo-taking more than expected.
All in all, this could be a decent if not breathtaking upgrade over the A34. That’s why we were certainly happy to hear (again) that the Galaxy A35 5G will probably cost 379 euros for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, with a base price of 449 euros. On the Old Continent, it has a 256/8GB configuration.
It’s obvious that you could easily convert these numbers to US dollars, but that would be a wasted effort since the A35 will likely follow in the footsteps of the A34 and will never be officially available in the US.
