Hawaiian Airlines Wi-Fi: What you need to know

Whether you need to get some last-minute work done before your vacation or need to connect with loved ones after you’re out, you may need an onboard Wi-Fi signal. But if you fly Hawaiian Airlines to and from the Aloha State, you may be in for a surprise.

Here’s what you need to know about Hawaiian Airlines Wi-Fi and the airlines that serve it across the Pacific.

Unfortunately, Hawaiian Airlines planes are not yet equipped with Wi-Fi. Inter-island flights.

However, the company has signed a deal with Starlink to provide flyers with broadband wireless internet in the future.

Hawaiian Airlines plans to equip its Airbus A330, Airbus A321 neo and Boeing 787-9 aircraft with free high-speed Wi-Fi powered by its satellite network. Hawaiian Airlines Internet service is available on interisland flights as well as long-haul flights to the continental United States, Asia, and Oceania.

“Our partnership with Starlink will give us the best connectivity experience in the air,” Hawaiian Airlines CEO Peter Ingram said in 2022. He said, “We waited until technology caught up to our high standards for guest experience, but it will be worth the wait.” Guests enjoy fast, seamless free Wi-Fi that complements the ship’s award-winning Hawaiian hospitality. ”

At this time, it’s unclear exactly when Starlink Internet will be available onboard Hawaiian Airlines flights, but it’s likely to happen sometime this year. That said, in-flight entertainment can be streamed by passengers on their personal devices through the self-contained in-flight network.

Hawaiian Airlines doesn’t have Wi-Fi, but you can stream in-flight entertainment to your personal device in two ways: through a mobile app or an internet browser. Watch new movies, classic movies, and TV shows on your phone, tablet, or laptop.

• Download the Hawaiian Airlines app to your phone or tablet.

• Once on board, switch your phone to airplane mode and connect to the “Movies on HawaiianAir” network.

• Open the Hawaiian Airlines app and[その他],[機内エンターテイメント]Select .

• Connect to the “Movies on Hawaiian” network.

• Open your internet browser and type www.hawaiianairlineswifi.com.

• Please select an option to watch.

The Hawaiian Islands are about 3,400 miles from the mainland United States, so it’s no wonder the signal over the Pacific Ocean isn’t as strong.

Below are some of the airlines that offer Wi-Fi on flights to Hawaii. If you’re still hesitant about investing in a Wi-Fi pass, ask the flight attendant if the internet signal is reliable.

American Airlines offers satellite-based Wi-Fi on most of its fleet, so you might be lucky to receive it on your flight to the Aloha State. Inflight Wi-Fi passes start at $10 and go up from there.

Delta Air Lines and T-Mobile offer free in-flight Wi-Fi to SkyMiles members, and as of July last year, it was available on about 600 domestic flights.

It is expected to be fully available on aircraft worldwide by the end of 2024. For aircraft that don’t already have free Wi-Fi, passes cost between $5 and $19.

United Airlines has four inflight internet providers: Gogo, Panasonic, Thales, and Viasat. Aircraft equipped with Panasonic Wi-Fi offer the most coverage, including areas over the Pacific Ocean.

The following aircraft are equipped with Panasonic Wi-Fi.

United Wi-Fi on domestic flights costs $8 or 800 miles for MileagePlus members and $10 for passengers not enrolled in the frequent flyer program.

Hawaiian Airlines plans to launch Starlink wireless service on its planes, but it is not currently available to passengers.

The only option for now is to connect to the in-flight entertainment network and stream content from your personal device. If you want to watch other shows, we recommend downloading episodes of your favorite shows to watch on the plane.
