yangtze optical fiber and Cable Joint Stock Co., Ltd. (YOFC) showcased a range of advanced products and solutions at Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2024 (MWC Barcelona). With the theme “Connecting the Future with Fiber”, YOFC showcased its progress in five key areas: 5G advanced transition, new hub for green computing, new value of digital energy, new digital life. An experience that bridges the digital gap.

5G Advanced Transition

With the advent of 5G technology, industries around the world have embarked on a new journey of digital transformation, enabling many new applications and scenarios that require enhanced network capabilities. This change prompted the rise of the 5.5G concept. In this context, optical fibers will form the backbone of ubiquitous interconnection in the 5.5G era by serving as essential channels for information transmission. During the exhibition, YOFC showcased the latest optical fiber technology innovations.

  • FarBand Ultra G.654.E Fiber: Known for its extremely low attenuation, improving long-distance communication capabilities.
  • easy band fiber: Minimize outer diameter and optimize installation efficiency.
  • GenBand fiber: A versatile solution for a wide range of network demands.
  • OM4/OM4+ Ultra-bend resistant multimode fiber: Provides high data transfer speeds even in harsh environments.
  • special communication fiber: Tailored to specific industrial applications to ensure reliability and performance.

Furthermore, in order to respond to the rapid growth of the digital economy and the evolution of artificial intelligence (AI), we are also working on research and development of next-generation optical fibers, with the aim of establishing our position both domestically and internationally. At the exhibition, YOFC’s next-generation optical fiber products, including space division multiplexing (SDM) fiber and hollow core optical fiber, attracted the attention of many industry participants.

A new hub for green computing

Data centers took center stage at this year’s MWC. During the event, YOFC unveiled its latest innovations. iCONEC Green Data Center Cable Solutions are designed to not only expand data center bandwidth and space efficiency, but also significantly extend operational life, reduce carbon emissions, and streamline data center costs. I am. process.

Additionally, YOFC announced a comprehensive optical module solution for AI-powered data center compute networks. Beyond traditional III-V technology, YOFC has introduced next-generation 400G/800G optical module solutions using silicon photonics technology. This breakthrough is expected to reduce the energy consumption of optical modules by approximately 20% and begins a new chapter in the pursuit of greener data centers.

New value of digital energy

Digital innovation is reinvigorating the energy sector and transforming everything from power grids to maritime infrastructure. YOFC is playing a central role in this revolution, introducing a wealth of products and services that promise to redefine digital energy infrastructure.

In the power sector, ultra-high voltage (UHV) power transmission is the most advanced power transmission technology worldwide. YOFC offers G654E fiber, ADSS (all-dielectric self-supporting) and OPGW (optical ground wire) cables, high voltage flame retardant cables, power connectors, and optical device units. In addition, YOFC provides professional construction guidance services to ensure the security and reliability of UHV systems.

In the maritime sector, YOFC is committed to developments across the entire marine engineering value chain. The company’s arsenal includes submarine fiber optics and power cables, as well as a range of related solutions and his EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) services. These products serve a wide range of applications, from facilitating the transmission of offshore wind power and maintaining offshore oil platforms, to enabling transoceanic communications and establishing undersea observation networks. YOFC’s strategic investment in large-scale offshore wind facilities underlines the company’s commitment to ensuring its competitiveness in the marine engineering sector.

A new experience of digital life

At a time when digital connectivity is paramount, YOFC is making strides towards eliminating the notorious ‘last mile’ bottleneck in mobile communications. This initiative plans to enrich users’ digital lives by providing comprehensive all-optical connectivity solutions.

YOFC focuses on the needs of modern rail transportation and has developed specialized solutions to meet the different frequency requirements of different wireless communication systems. With its pioneering leaky coaxial cables and accessories, the company ensures that passengers on rail platforms and tunnels can enjoy dual gigabit internet speeds, the building blocks of today’s mobile-first lifestyle.

In the field of optical network cabling, YOFC’s next generation F.ODN pre-connection solution reduces installation time by 80% compared to traditional methods, enabling customers to deploy premium networks quickly and efficiently. Additionally, the FTTR (Fibre to The Room) invisible cabling solution deployed by YOFC has been quickly adopted by carriers who see value in reducing installation complexity and minimizing aesthetic disruption. Masu.

Additionally, YOFC’s presentation of active optical cables for the smart audio and video industry, incorporating the proprietary BendRobust bend-resistant fiber, attracted significant interest. These products stand out for their outstanding flexibility and data transmission capabilities and represent a step forward in the evolution of smart home and multimedia technology.

bridging the digital gap

Since 2014, YOFC has embarked on an ambitious mission to bring fiber optic connectivity to the most remote corners of the planet.production base and Indonesia, South Africa, Brazil and PolandYOFC has been at the forefront of international efforts to connect underserved communities from the lush jungles. Philippines Into the vast urban maze Peru and Indonesia. Whether we’re building bridges across vast oceans, climbing steep mountains, or navigating complex urban slums, YOFC is here to stay, driven by the belief that everyone deserves to be connected. I’ve been doing it.
