New Delhi: Indian IT and consulting services company Tech Mahindra has partnered with Taiwan’s Pegatron to develop private 5G solutions for enterprises.
The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC 2024). “The partnership between the two organizations will explore mutually beneficial opportunities in the rapidly growing private 5G space and position it as a catalyst for business growth,” the organizations said in a statement Wednesday.
The partnership will enable both companies to jointly identify global opportunities, with Pegatron providing the 5G connectivity layer and private 5G products, and Tech Mahindra providing end-to-end 5G services. .
The companies also aim to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) applications and edge computing through 5G in various industries.

Tech Mahindra will provide Pegatron with insights to further develop its products based on specific geographic, industry, user, technology and regulatory considerations, particularly in the APJI region.
Tech Mahindra and Pegatron will also focus on increasing digital resilience for disaster response and improving communication in disaster-prone and remote areas. It also aims to support frontline disaster relief forces with solutions using 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) and satellite communications.
