Quectel NCM825, NCM835, and NCM865 series modules are powered by Qualcomm.® Qualcomm Technologies’ FastConnect™ 7800 mobile connectivity system supports simultaneous operation in the 2.4 GHz plus 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz plus 6 GHz frequency bands with 2 x 2 MIMO with Dual Band Simultaneous (DBS) capability. The NCM865 and NCM865A chipsets feature High Band Simultaneous (HBS) technology that enhances wireless communications by minimizing interference in the high frequency spectrum. This advancement enables more efficient use of bandwidth, reduces latency, and increases data throughput. These modules also support Multi-Link Operation (MLO), a feature that allows the router to use multiple wireless bands and channels simultaneously to connect to Wi-Fi 7 clients. MLO allows the NCM8x5 series to deliver faster data rates, much lower latency, and higher network reliability for users.

said Norbert Muhrer, President and CSO of Quectel Wireless Solutions. “By leveraging the performance of dual-band concurrent capabilities and multi-link operation, we will enable end users to access faster data with ultra-low latency while continuing to experience superior network reliability. , which expands the scope of performance for manufacturers and provides richer experiences and greater flexibility for customers.”

Additionally, the new module supports 4K-QAM and 320MHz bandwidth and can achieve data rates up to 5.8Gbps, enabling ultra-low latency and real-time response required for laptop use cases. This module also integrates and supports dual Bluetooth, 2Mbps Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), LE Audio, and BLE Long Range.

Quectel NCM825 series dimensions are 16.0mm x 20.0mm x 1.80mm and NCM865 series dimensions are 22.0mm x 30.0mm x 2.25mm. The module operates in a temperature range of -10 °C to +65 °C, and its variants are certified by regulatory authorities worldwide.

Quectel puts security at the center of everything we do. We work closely with Finite State, a leader in enterprise software supply chain risk management, to strengthen the security of our modules through rigorous security testing, increased software supply chain visibility, and comprehensive software risk management, ensuring that all systems We guarantee security testing at this stage. development cycle. In addition to penetration testing of key modules, Quectel announced the release of a Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) and Vulnerability Exploitability Exchange (VEX) documentation for IoT modules. As an industry first for the IoT module manufacturer, these resources will be made available through his Quectel website.

Additionally, to facilitate customer designs, Quectel offers a variety of high-performance antennas that greatly enhance wireless connectivity. IoT developers can bundle Quectel modules with Quectel’s antenna and pre-authentication services to reduce cost and time to market for IoT devices.
