Billie Eilish attended the People’s Choice Awards on February 18th as she won two honors, including Pop Artist of the Year. Ultimately, she won the TV Performance of the Year trophy for her role as a cult leader in Swarm.
But it wasn’t her surprise win that set the internet on fire. The pop singer, who was seated next to music icon Kylie Minogue, commented on the influencer’s presence at the popular awards ceremony. “There’s a lot of TikTokers here,” she whispered, pointing over her shoulder. She then made a “no need” gesture, which many took as her way of putting social media stars in the shadows.
