In the latest development, iQoo seems to be gearing up to launch the much-awaited iQoo Z9 5G in India soon. The smartphone has been cruising various certification sites giving enthusiasts a glimpse of its potential features and design.
A recent Geekbench listing, first spotted by Nashville Chatter, reveals some key specifications of the upcoming iQoo Z9 5G. Identified by model number I2302, the listing suggests that the smartphone may be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC. This contradicts previous leaks that suggested Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC could be inside.
According to Geekbench 6 scores, the iQoo Z9 5G, which is said to be powered by a chipset codenamed ‘k6886v1_64’, achieved an impressive score of 1186 in the single-core test and 2683 in the multi-core test. According to the listing, the device comes with 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 14-based operating system.
Rumors regarding the device’s display and battery are also circulating. Previous leaks suggested that the iQoo Z9 5G may feature his 1.5K OLED display and pack a 6,000mAh battery, ensuring long-time use.
Expectations for the iQoo Z9 5G’s launch in India have further increased with its inclusion in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database. Additionally, his Bluetooth SIG listing of the phone revealed support for Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.
Leaked design renderings of the iQoo Z9 series showcase two potential models, possibly the base iQoo Z9 and the iQoo Z9x. Both models feature a textured gradient light blue back panel, with one flaunting a circular dual rear camera unit and the other a square camera module.
As iQoo enthusiasts eagerly await the official launch, the iQoo Z9 5G promises to bring several upgrades compared to the previous generation iQoo Z8. Notably, the iQoo Z8 featured a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, 5,000mAh battery, 6.64-inch IPS Full HD+ display, 64MP dual rear camera system, and ran on OriginOS 3.0 based on Android 13.
