The National Hockey League (NHL) has renewed its U.S. sponsorship agreement with Verizon, with the U.S. carrier installing private 5G networks at arenas.

Verizon was named the NHL’s official 5G partner in the U.S. in 2020 and has already made great strides in improving in-arena coverage. The operator works with several other sports organizations, including the National Football League (NFL).
