The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in Super Bowl V, becoming world champions again.
The Chiefs will become the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowl championships since the New England Patriots accomplished the feat in Super Bowl XXXIX.
Although the score seemed low at first glance, this match was memorable and offered a little bit of everything.
As usual with Patrick Mahomes, who has been trailed by double digits in all four of his Super Bowl appearances, the Chiefs needed to mount a memorable comeback to win. The Super Bowl went into a second overtime after both teams traded scores at the end of regulation. The 49ers started overtime with a field goal, and Mahomes followed with a game-winning touchdown drive.
After the big win, the sports world was quick to praise the back-to-back champions.
