Samsung has not yet officially commented on the release of Galaxy A55 or Galaxy C55. However, there is growing evidence that the company is preparing to offer two more mid-range options in early 2024. To summarize, both devices have been unveiled in various places in recent months, most recently at the Federal Communications Commission. (FCC) For Galaxy A55.
Now, Galaxy A55 and Galaxy C55 have appeared on China’s TENAA. As is often the case, TENAA has published photos of several devices, examples of which are embedded below. As expected, the Galaxy A55 adopts Samsung’s “Key Island” design language, which debuted last year with the Galaxy A15 4G, Galaxy A15 5G, and Galaxy A25 5G (currently $300 at Amazon). Essentially, it’s just a raised area on the Galaxy A55’s frame that houses the hardware buttons.
For reference, the Galaxy A55 is expected to launch worldwide with an Exynos 1480 chipset, the specifications of which were revealed late last year. The Galaxy C55 (SM-C5560), on the other hand, has a simpler design with a 50 MP primary camera and 13 MP front-facing camera, as well as 8 MP and 2 MP auxiliary rear lenses. Additionally, TENAA outlines that the Galaxy C55 will feature a 6.67-inch 1080p OLED display supported by a 5,000 mAh battery. Unfortunately, other details remain unknown for now, such as the markets in which the Galaxy C55 will be sold.
