Demi Lovato’s recent performance of “Heart Attack” garnered quite a bit of attention on social media.
On January 31st, the beloved talent attended the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Red Dress Collection Concert.
According to the organization’s website, the event is a “hip music kickoff to American Heart Month, calling for a renewed commitment to investing in women’s heart health while promoting health equity.” It is a celebration of progress.
While the celebration, which featured a star-studded guest list, went off without a hitch, it was Lovato’s mini-concert that caught the attention of pop culture enthusiasts, especially her performance of “Heart Attack.”
“My next song is about falling in love and the intense emotions that come with heartbreak, opening yourself up, taking risks, and not being afraid to do it again, but this song is about me, me. It has a lot of similarities with the journey, and what it reminds me of, life,” the Cool for the Summer artist explained while introducing the song, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Days after the celebration, a video of the aforementioned Lovato’s performance went viral on social media, with many sharing their honest opinions about her song choices.
One of the Xs, formerly known as Twitter, I have written: “Demi Lovato sings “Heart Attack” at an event for women with cardiovascular disease. Goodbye. “”
another fan tweeted: “Demi Lovato singing Heart Attack at the AHA Cardiovascular Event is literally so iconic.”
3rd fan Added: “Demi Lovato needs to fire her entire team. Hmm, no one thought to stop her from singing ‘Heart Attack’ at an American Heart Association event?!”
While many users made fun of Lovato’s performance, others thought it was in bad taste to include “Heart Attack” in the setlist, prompting Lovato’s representatives to issue a statement.
“She spoke about the heart-to-heart connection. It’s a sensitive moment aimed at advocating for the women in the room, and that’s why Demi attended the event.” explained. Entertainment Weekly.
“She started with a beautiful intro about why she chose this song and spoke to the room about the heart-to-heart connection. It was a really beautiful moment.”

When Demi Lovato sings “Heart Attack” at an event for women with cardiovascular disease, it’s an act straight out of Katherine Hudson’s Guide to Being a Celebrity. I bow to her.

Demi Lovato, who sang Heart Attack at a cardiovascular disease event, has the same energy as “Stay Alive,” which was first performed after her uncle’s funeral.
