About Ahmad Baji
Ahmad Bazzi was born on October 3, 1991 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He completed his PhD in Electrical Engineering and MSc (Honours) in Wireless Communication Systems at his EURECOM in Sophia-Antipolis, France in 2017. He currently contributes to Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) as a researcher at New York University (NYU) Abu Dhabi and his NYU WIRELESS, NYU Tandon School of Engineering. Previously at Sophia Antipolis, he led the Algorithms and Signal Processing team at CEVA-DSP, where he worked on high-performance PHY modems for Wi-Fi (802.11ax) and Bluetooth, OFDMA MAC schedulers, and RF-related issues. I was leading. He is an inventor with several patents related to intellectual property for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth products, all of which have been implemented and sold to major customers. Since 2018, he has been publishing lectures on his YouTube platform under the name “Ahmad Bazzi” and his channel includes topics in mathematics, algorithms and programming, and as of January 2024 He has 285,000 subscribers and over 17 million views. His collaboration with RivieraWaves (now CEVA-DSP) won him his CIFRE scholarship from the French National Recherche Techniques Association (ANRT) in 2014. He was nominated for the Best Student Paper Award at the IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASP) 2016. In 2022, he achieved the milestone of 100,000 subscribers and YouTube awarded him the Silver Plate Creator Award. He was honored as an exemplary reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Communications in 2022 and as an exemplary reviewer for IEEE Wireless Communications Letters in 2022. He has served as a TPC member and reviewer for many major international conferences. He was selected as one of the top 200 Arab creators of 2023.
